TrustCommunity Code of Conduct

The TrustCommunity’s mission is to showcase, celebrate, and provide added value to GRC professionals. To uphold the community’s mission and maintain a safe and transparent environment, TrustCloud requires that all members agree to and follow a code of conduct that will ensure constructive, professional interactions for all members. 

TrustCommunity members will respect and value all members while engaging through topical questions, responses, feedback, and other activities, and will maintain a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone involved.

All communications through TrustCommunity’s various channels, including the forum, Slack, mailing lists, Twitter, and others, will be constructive, inclusive, and respectful. The TrustCommunity will not tolerate personal attacks, trolling, public or private harassment, insults, solicitation of community members for commercial purposes, or any other form of unprofessional conduct.

To ensure swift action from our team, please report bugs immediately via the form on this link. Please refrain from reporting bugs via the forum, this outlet is reserved for educational content only.

We expect all members to commit to maintaining an environment of courtesy and respect for all individuals involved in this community, regardless of their gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, race, ethnicity, religion, or level of experience. All contributors to TrustCommunity will be held to the same standard to treat others with equal respect and consideration.

TrustCloud reserves the right to remove any content or posts that do not conform to our TrustCommunity Code of Conduct, without warning. TrustCloud also reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend or bar a user who violates the TrustCommunity Code of Conduct. 

We encourage you to:

  1. Be respectful, supportive, and honest
  2. Feel free to ask for help and help others
  3. Be encouraging, especially with new users
  4. Use appropriate, professional tone and language
  5. Provide constructive feedback

We will not tolerate:

  1. Posting inappropriate, offensive, or inflammatory content.
  2. Sharing content that violates anyone’s intellectual property rights or any person’s privacy rights.
  3. Posting on behalf of other users without their explicit permission.
  4. Lies about your identity or misrepresentation.
  5. Soliciting community members for any business or commercial purpose.
  6. Spamming the community with ads or self-promotion.
  7. Asking community members for their personal information.
  8. Sharing false or inaccurate information. If you do not know the right answer, then it’s best not to comment.
