Set up SAP SuccessFactors HR for automated tests with TrustCloud!

Purpose

Once you set up your compliance program, TrustCloud TrustOps works to ensure that your systems remain compliant with your adopted controls. To do so, TrustCloud runs automated tests against systems in your product and business stack and verifies that they are properly configured.

This document outlines the steps you can take to grant TrustCloud access to only read metadata about the configuration settings for your SAP SuccessFactors account so that TrustOps can validate and generate evidence for your compliance program.

Instructions to grant TrustCloud limited access to SAP SuccessFactors

  1. Log in to your SAP SuccessFactors instance with a user that has admin access.
  2. Generate the API Server URL.
Your SAP SuccessFactors API Server URL is a URL that is closely related to the login URL where you sign in to your company’s SAP SuccessFactors instance.
For example – if you log in at “https://acme.successfactors.com/login”, your login URL is “acme.successfactors.com” (the value after “https://” and before “/login”). Using your login URL, you can find the corresponding API Server URL by visiting this link. Typically, appending “api” before your login URL will result in the correct API Server URL (i.e., apiacme.successfactors.com).
  3. Copy your SAP SuccessFactors username.
You can find your SAP SuccessFactors username by hovering over your profile photo, and you can copy the username that appears after the account name.
  4. Copy your SAP SuccessFactors Company ID.
    1. You can find your SAP SuccessFactors company ID as part of your login URL. Eg – if your login URL is “https://acme.successfactors.com/login?company=SFCPART000324”, your company ID will be SFCPART000324.
    2. Alternatively, you can find your SAP SuccessFactors company ID by expanding the dropdown over your profile photo, clicking ‘Show version Information’, and locating company ID in the modal.
  5. Provide the API Server URL, Company ID, username, and Password  into Trust Cloud.
